Tutorial: How to Remove Any Computer Virus Free and Easy

As a local computer repair company we get virus removal as one of our most common complaints for computer repair. Over the years we've mastered the art of easy, fast, and free virus and malware removal. It's very easy to do, which is why we don't charge an arm and a leg for it.

Many local computer repair companies offer this service for well over $100 - don't pay those outrageous prices and take care of it yourself instead. This method works especially well overnight, because it usually takes a couple hours to complete fully.

This article is written to help computer users at all levels of expertise. The method we use for removing viruses operates before Windows stars so it's perfect when a computer is unbootable because of an infection or if a system has become too incredibly bogged down.

Stuff You'll Need:

• A CD-burner drive or DVD-burner drive with a blank disc or a USB flash drive
• A wired internet connection on the infected computer
• A couple hours or more to let it run - depending on your disc space.

Here's How To:

1. Visit avg.com/rescue-cd and download the AVG Rescue CD ISO or bootable USB exe. (Either way works just as well as the other.)
2. Create the bootable disc or bootable USB flash drive.
3. Ensure the affected computer has a direct wired internet coming in. (No WiFi) If you don't have the ability to get wired internet you are still able to run the program but you won't be able to update to the latest virus definitions.
4. Plug-in the flash drive or insert the disc and boot up from disc or flash drive. Click here to learn how to boot from a disc or flash drive.
5. Let it run through its stuff and follow the on screen instructions to scan the system. The system will ask you to update before the scan begins which you should let it do.
6. Let the scan run - it will probably take a couple hours, which is why we let ours run overnight.
7. Once the scan is complete, continue with the on-screen instructions to clean all infections.

Boom. All done. Exit and restart to your clean system.

If your ever having issues booting up, try some of these tips:

• First try booting into Safe Mode and running a System Restore
• Next try booting into the Windows Repair Console and running chkdsk.
• Next try repairing boot.ini in the Repair Console
• Then try the fixboot tool in the Repair Console
• Now try rebuilding the MBR
• Finally try booting into your system recovery discs and doing a repair install
