Direct Mail - A Smart Choice

Many people come across the same problems when they send an email to someone. Some emails never reach their destination; other emails take a really long time to reach their destination (sometimes days); others bounce back for unknown reasons to the sender. This can be very frustrating. This is why Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) is recommended. SMTP is the standard for sending out emails running on Internet Protocol and it has many benefits.
One of the biggest benefits of using SMTP is its simplicity. Email communication amongst computers on a particular network has never been easier. SMTP allows users to simply type and send an email to their recipients. It just goes from an SMTP server to an exchange server for the recipient's computer, leaving no risk of the message being lost or stuck somewhere. Additionally, no matter where you are in the world, as long as the computer you are sending an email from is part of the ISP network, your email will go directly to your recipient.
Another benefit is the quickness of the delivery time. As long as the SMTP server is functioning properly, the emails reach their recipients in no time. The email has a simple path to follow, allowing it to reach its destination right away, even when there are many destinations for it to reach.
SMTP is also very reliable. Many instances have occurred for users in which, for one reason or another, the email doesn't transmit successfully, without giving them a reason for the failure. SMTP will continue to resend the email over and over again until it reaches its proper recipient, and if it is ultimately unsuccessful, will send the user the appropriate bounce back message. This will also save the user the valuable time of having to keep resend the message, which may sometimes involve typing the whole message over, and most people simply don't have the time for this.
SMTP uses specific servers dedicated for handling emails only. These servers are usually maintained locally and can even be configured to handle the most sensitive and important messages. Although Internet Service Providers may offer this same service, they don't always pertain only to email, which can lead to all sorts of complications. This may be one of those reasons why a lot of emails never reach their destinations.
Also, many types of email software are compatible with SMTP servers. These include Outlook, Thunderbird and iPad.
In conclusion, SMTP is dedicated to make sure all of users' outgoing emails are properly sent to all of their recipients in a timely manner. It will continue to fulfill this function until it is completed, and if a message can't be sent, it will notify the sender of the failure with a reason why. It is specifically designed to ease the experience of sending outgoing emails as much as possible. With its simple but very effective features, SMTP continues to become the most widely used messaging standard. Although it may have some limitations especially in terms of non-text messages, SMTP is still implemented because most electronic mail contents are still text-based.
